CHILDREN OF IMANI
“Plenty Good
Room”
Beginning and ending with libation rituals, Children of Imani sessions
consists of two core components: (1) self-worth and self esteem and (2)
endurance and bonding/family matters. The sessions are based on
real-life needs of African American children and include spirituals,
movement and hands-on activities that provide children with the
opportunity to practice and learn through doing.
Friday, July 7
Session Goals: Children will declare how God gives them self-worth.
Children will examine heir own likes, dislikes and values.
Saturday, July 8
Session Goals: Children will draw upon their relationship with Christ
to grow. Children will examine ways of being family.
