Ayisha A. Morgan-Lee and Ju-B-Lation: Spirit Filled Feet Dance Company

The Dance Institute will be an intense, yet fulfilling instruction that will focus on bringing the Scriptures to life through dance: the art of movement. Prepare for a higher and deeper level of movement. Prepare to step out of yourselves and into story telling of the whole body.

Learn the appropriate attire for the sanctuary versus the dance studio, appropriate movement, working with a choir, and parts of the Mass where dance can be used. Proper attire is required for the Liturgical Dance Institute. For females all ages; leotard and tights, dance pants or dance short, cover shirts, dance skirts, paws, jazz shoes, ballet shoes or bare feet is acceptable. For males all ages; sweat pants (not too baggy),or dance pants, t-shirt (also not too baggy), or tanks are acceptable. The same shoe requirements for everyone. NO JEANS, NO JEAN SKIRTS, NO TENNIS SHOES, NO JEWELRY. Long hair MUST be pulled back out of the face. NO photography or video recording during the class by class participants or observers. Choreography for the Lyke Conference celebrations will be taught in both the Liturgical Dance Institute as well as the Lyke Conference workshops. Anyone wishing to participate in these masses will need to bring all white or all black dance garments or a combination of the two. Black tights and leotards are required as undergarments. Females must have hair pulled into buns at the nape of the neck for ministering. You will not be allowed to minister if you are inappropriately attired for the sanctuary. Females please be mindful, of the importance and necessity of undergarments for ministering.
