Clarence Rivers Music Institute

ClarenceRIvers_000[1]Reverend Clarence Joseph Rivers, preeminent pioneer in the movement to enliven Roman Catholic liturgy by bringing to it the gift of African American musical expression, is the namesake of the Clarence Rivers Music Institute. It will provide opportunities for composers, choir directors, singers, accompanists, and others involved in the ministry of liturgical music among African American Catholics to come together in a variety of ways. It is a forum in which they can share their gifts, their expertise, and the exultation that comes from making music to the glory of God.
